About Mr Paul Dearden
Mr Paul Dearden is a highly experienced and respected consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon who currently works at the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He also holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds. He treats all adult foot and ankle problems, including sports injuries and trauma, and has an area of special interest in total ankle replacements and revision ankle replacements. His area of particular specialty is Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) and Ankle Arthroplasty. Mr Dearden gained his medical degree in 2006 from the University of Nottingham. He went on to complete both national (UK) and international (Australia) fellowships in advanced foot and ankle surgery techniques. In addition to his clinical work, he is also involved in research related to traumatology, sports medicine, and orthopaedic surgery; his current research project is investigating the early outcomes of the Infinity Total Ankle Replacement and outcomes of minimally invasive forefoot surgery for hallux valgus (Bunnion surgery). Mr Dearden is highly qualified and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Association. He also holds corresponding membership in MIFAS, the World Minimally Invasive Foot and Ankle Surgery Society.
