He is actively involved in research, serving as Principal Investigator for two national studies on shoulder and clavicle fractures, and contributes to national BESS guidelines on subacromial pain. His work has been published in leading journals and presented internationally, including invited talks in the UK, Greece, and Egypt.

Passionate about education, Mr Tsantanis holds postgraduate qualifications in Trauma & Orthopaedics (University of Wolverhampton) and Medical Education (University of Warwick). He regularly teaches medical students and trainees, is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor, and leads surgical skills training with the Greek Association for Global Surgery.

He stays at the forefront of innovation by attending advanced training courses and international conferences, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest surgical techniques and evidence-based care.

He is a member of renowned  British and International scientific societies (BOA, BESS, BSSH, SECEC, AO trauma, SICOT, FFN). Outside medicine, he enjoys time with his family and he remains a keen traveller. He enjoys sports but particular football and basketball. Mr Tsantanis is the Birmingham Rockets Basketball Club Chief Medical Officer and Rugby League match doctor. He has been awarded the Good Citizen's Award by the West Midlands Police Chief Constable in October 2023.
