Dr Nizar Hojaili is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Clemenceau Medical Center Dubai, specialising in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry. He joined the hospital in April 2021. After completing his training in adult psychiatry, he gained further expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry by working for nearly two years in a community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Coventry, first as a Specialty Doctor and later as a Consultant Psychiatrist. In 2017, he began working as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. In 2018, he relocated to Lebanon, where he worked at Bellevue Medical Centre in Mount Lebanon and Clemenceau Medical Centre in Beirut.
His areas of expertise include neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-related conditions, eating disorders, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. He has also been involved in teaching, assessing, and examining medical students, nursing staff, and junior doctors in psychiatry.
He speaks Arabic, English, and French.
