Dr Nabeel Safwat is a consultant and head of the dental department at Marina Dental Center, UAE. He specialises in prosthodontics and implant dentistry and has sixteen years of clinical experience. He is licensed by the UAE Ministry of Health and is registered with the DHA.
Dr Safwat studied at a number of universities, including Baghdad University, Ajman University, Jordan University, and Gulf Medical University. He first gained a technician diploma in dental technology before going on to earn his BDS degree from the University of Baghdad in 1997. In 2002, he undertook a fellowship in implantology at Bern University in Switzerland. He went on to complete a master's degree in fixed and removable prosthodontics at Jordan University of Science and Technology. He later earned an MDS in fixed and removable prosthodontics and undertook a further associate fellowship with the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry. In 2013, he completed a postgraduate diploma in dental implantology at Western Cape University in South Africa.
Prior to his current position, he was the head of the dental department at GMC Ajman Super Specialty Dental Centre. He also worked as an assistant professor at Gulf Medical University in the department of prosthodontics.
