Professor Mustafa Salih is a highly regarded Consultant in Paediatric Neurology, dedicated to the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. He provides comprehensive and compassionate care for a wide range of complex disorders affecting the nervous system, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients and their families.
He is recognised for his significant contributions to the field of paediatric neurology. Professor Salih was instrumental in establishing the first paediatric neurology speciality in Sudan and was one of the founders of the speciality in Saudi Arabia. His work has also led to the identification of several inherited neurological diseases that have since been named after him.
Professor Salih earned his medical qualifications, including a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Doctor of Medicine in Clinical Paediatrics, from the University of Khartoum. He later obtained a Doctor of Medical Science from Uppsala University in Sweden. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) in the United Kingdom and a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN).
