Dr Munish Shandilya is an experienced Consultant Otolaryngologist and lead surgeon at TheNoseClinic in Dublin. He also sees private patients at Bon Secours Hospital Galway. Dr Shandilya completed his medical degree at Delhi University, India in 1989 before relocating to the UK. He completed his specialist training through the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and its Higher Surgical Training Scheme.
He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1996 and a Fellow in Otorhinolaryngology and Head-Neck Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2008. Dr Shandily later completed clinical fellowship training in rhinoplasty under the guidance of Professor Nolst Trenite, the President of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) in Amsterdam. Dr Shandilya became a member of the Irish Medical Council's Specialist Register in 2008 and represents Ireland as the National Delegate to the EAFPS.
At his specialist practice, TheNoseClinic, Dr Shandilya offers a comprehensive range of services for patients with nasal blockage, nose trauma, rhinitis, sinusitis, allergies and cosmetic desires. Dr Shandilya specialises in functional rhinoplasty, cosmetic rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, paediatric rhinoplasty, septoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Shandilya's research interests focus on 3D evaluation of the face in patient education, conservative paediatric rhinoplasty, nasal fracture management, acute septoplasty, and augmentation rhinoplasty. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals in these areas.
