He is currently Consultant Gastroenterologist and Clinical Lead for Hepatology at the Northern Care Alliance Group in Manchester, with his clinical work based primarily at The Royal Oldham Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary and Fairfield General Hospital.

He is an accredited educator with the Royal College of Physicians, London, and regularly teaches final-year medical students from the University of Manchester. He is also part of the Global Training Centre at Edge Hill University, where he provides training to international gastroenterology trainees.
He has a strong interest in medical leadership and hospital management, and in 2024 was appointed Clinical Director of Gastroenterology for Bury, Rochdale and Oldham within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. In this role he leads on the strategic development of gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy services across the division.
His clinical expertise spans a wide range of areas, including upper and lower GI endoscopy, therapeutic procedures such as polypectomy, variceal banding and Botox injections, as well as the management of complex liver conditions such as cirrhosis, NAFLD, portal hypertension, hepatic encephalopathy and pre- and post-liver transplant care. He also manages the full spectrum of general gastroenterology disorders including coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, bile salt malabsorption and nutritional disorders.
