Dr Muhammad Gul, a seasoned Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, brings a wealth of experience to his practice. His journey began with his psychiatry training at the esteemed St-Mary’s General Psychiatry Training Scheme London, culminating in his successful M.R.C.Psych from the Royal College of Psychiatrists London. He further honed his skills in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry within the same training scheme linked with the Imperial College London. His commitment to excellence is evident in his additional qualifications, including a Postgraduate Certificate in University Learning & Teaching from the Imperial College London and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Continuing to add to his professional and academic portfolio, Dr Gul also completed a Master's in Research in Psychiatry from University College London and a Master's in Medical Education from Keele University. He works as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Keele University and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy England. He is an accredited trainer and teaches psychiatry trainees.

Within his clinical practice, Dr Gul is highly experienced in assessing and managing social, emotional, neurodevelopmental, behavioural and learning difficulties among children and adolescents. His areas of clinical interest are neuropsychiatric disorders, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Tourette’s and post-traumatic stress disorder. He has expertise in the management of children and young people with first-episode psychosis and affective disorder, as well as children refusing to attend schools.

Within the NHS, Dr Gul is the Associate Medical Director at Midlands Partnership Foundation University NHS Trust, with a focus on Children and Specialist Services. Additionally, he works as Director of Medication, overseeing both undergraduate and postgraduate medical training at Midlands Partnership Foundation University NHS Trust.
