Mrs Shahid is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at The Droitwich Spa Hospital in Worcester. She completed her medical degree at the Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan in 1983 and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1996. In 2018, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Mrs Shahid has a special interest in the management of infertile couples and reproductive medicine and has over twenty years of experience in performing gynaecological procedures.
At Droitwich Spa Hospital, Mrs Shahid provides a wide range of services and is able to treat a large variety of gynaecological problems including heavy periods and other menstrual problems, post-coital bleeding, inter-menstrual bleeding, post-menopausal bleeding, menopausal symptoms, endometrial polyps, cervical polyps, genital and pelvic infection, pelvic pain, vulval soreness and disorders, polycystic ovaries and infertility. She also has expertise in laparoscopic hysterectomies.
Alongside her clinical practice, Mrs Shahid is actively involved in teaching and training programmes on both a local and regional level and has been a college tutor for over six years. She has also conducted gynaecology presentations at local, regional and international meetings.
