Ms Parkin began her career with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Oxford and worked in the media and telecommunications industry before continuing her studies in psychotherapy. She has trained in Group Therapy Processes and completed an Integrative Counselling Introduction with the Minster College London. She graduated from London Southbank University with a Master of Science degree in Addiction Psychology and is a Member of both the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners and the Society of the Study of Addiction. She is currently training at the Anna Freud Centre undertaking Metallisation Training, a pioneering therapy to aid those with personality disorders helping them to separate their thoughts and feelings from those around them. She has completed research in the field of eating disorders and overeating.
