Ms Rachmanidou undertook her medical training and general surgical training in Greece before taking part in a European Training Scheme where she specialised in otorhinolaryngology. She then completed advanced surgical training in Edinburgh and Scotland, before being appointed consultant ENT surgeon at University Hospital Lewisham in 2000.
Ms Rachmanidou is also involved in medical education and holds both management and teaching credentials.
