About Mr Richard Wilson
Mr Richard Wilson is an experienced Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon, practising across the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire. He has been a Consultant since 2011 and is well known for his clear and honest approach, ensuring patients fully understand their treatment options whether surgical or non-surgical, in both the NHS and private sector. Mr Wilson began his surgical training in Nottingham before completing two years of advanced training in complex endovascular surgery in Newcastle, UK, and Adelaide, Australia. He also holds a Doctorate in Vascular Pathology, with research that has been published by leading organisations including the American Heart Association, the New York Academy of Science, the European Society of Vascular Surgery, and the British Journal of Surgery. His clinical expertise covers the full range of vascular surgery. He has extensive experience in aortic aneurysm surgery and endovascular aneurysm repair, stroke prevention and carotid surgery, and the management of peripheral vascular disease with angioplasty and bypass procedures. He also provides a wide variety of treatments for varicose veins, including surgery, radiofrequency ablation, laser therapy, and sclerotherapy.
