About Mr Paresh Kothari
Mr Paresh Kothari is a foot and ankle consultant trauma & orthopaedic surgeon at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust, where he was responsible for setting up the adult foot and ankle unit. He joined Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust as a consultant in 2004 and is the current trust consent lead having held various posts including the Head of service for Orthopaedics and Clinical Director for Surgical division. Mr Kothari also has private practices at The Park Hospital, Nottingham Road clinic Mansfield, and Woodthorpe Hospital. He treats all foot and ankle conditions in adults including bunions, neuroma, big toe arthritis, sports injuries of the ankle, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, and tendo Achilles problems. He is skilled in arthroscopic ankle surgery and surgery for flat feet and neuromuscular conditions.
Mr Kothari gained his MBBS in 1989 and MS Orth in 1991 from Nagpur University. He then trained in Ulm and Zurich (Trauma fellowship) , Nottingham & Wessex Deanery to achieve CCST in Trauma & Orthopaedics. He passed MCh (Orth) From Liverpool with two gold Medals as well as his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedics). Mr Kothari is currently a member of a number of professional organisations related to his field including the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the British Orthopaedic Association, and the Orthopaedic Trauma Society. He is also involved in research into foot and ankle conditions and has published and presented his work both in the UK and in Europe.
