Mr Nick Anim-Nyame is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer. They are also a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists. Their postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology was undertaken in the London North West Thames Deanery. Mr Anim-Nyame's expertise lies in general and high-risk obstetrics, including medical complications of pregnancy, particularly hypertension disorders of pregnancy. They are a proponent of normality in pregnancy care and delivery, while maintaining an open-minded approach to discussing alternative options of care.
Mr Anim-Nyame also sees patients with a wide range of gynaecological disorders, including menstrual disorders, polycystic ovaries, recurrent miscarriages, pelvic pain, fibroids, and prolapse. They are experienced in performing minimal access, abdominal, and pelvic surgical procedures, and also offer well-woman gynaecological check-ups.
Furthermore, Mr Anim-Nyame maintains an active research programme with a focus on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and other medical complications. They are currently supervising PhD research projects and have served as an External Examiner to the University of London Higher Degrees Committee. Their work has resulted in several scientific publications, contributions to chapters in specialty textbooks, and they are a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
