Paediatric Surgery
About
Mr Alizai’s NHS practice includes involvement in a supra-regional service for paediatric liver disease, one of only a small number of such specialist services in the United Kingdom. In addition to his NHS work, he also provides private surgical care at Spire Leeds Hospital, offering a range of procedures for paediatric patients.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Alizai is actively involved in academic medicine and medical education. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and holds the position of Honorary Professor of Paediatric Surgery at Soochoo Children’s Hospital in Suzhou, China.
Mr Alizai also holds dual professional qualifications, having studied law as a full-time student and qualifying as a barrister in 2003. His combined expertise in clinical practice and academic medicine contributes to his role in advancing paediatric surgical care and training.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
