Mr Majid is regularly referred patients from all over the South West of England and Wales for his expertise in managing complex surgical problems and also sees patients from overseas by special request. He has operated on other eye surgeons and their families, which is a testament to his Skill and Composure as a Surgeon.


Because of his extensive training background, Mr Majid has been in a position to personally supervise the training of over 50 Senior Trainee Surgeons from Countries as far and wide as USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Germany, Spain, South America, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Syria, Pakistan, India and more. He has trained them in the disciplines of Advanced Cataract Surgery, Medical and Surgical Retina, Ocular Inflammatory diseases and Oculoplastic/ Orbital Surgery. It gives him a great sense of pride and satisfaction that they now practice as Consultant Eye Surgeons all over the world!


Throughout his career, he has been involved in many pioneering clinical research trials, leading to new innovations and has published many papers in internationally recognized Medical Journals. He was also awarded a PhD from the University of Bristol for his research on macular degeneration.
