Mr Jig Patel, an NHS consultant at Shirley Oaks Hospital, specialises in knee and hip disorders, arthroscopic surgery, as well as fractures and trauma. 

Mr Patel gained his medical qualifications from Southampton University and went on to train in orthopaedics within major London teaching hospitals as well as the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He completed a fellowship in hip and knee surgery in Ontario, Canada, which gave him further expertise in the area. He has worked as an NHS consultant at Kings College London and Universty College Hospital  Mr Patel is also a member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee.
