On returning to the UK, he worked as a Consultant Spine Surgeon at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol before being appointed Lead Spinal Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. In 2018, he joined the New Wessex Spinal Unit at Southampton University Hospital.
Mr Harvey is committed to avoiding invasive surgery wherever possible and frequently utilises pain-relieving spinal injections and other conservative measures as first-line treatment. When surgery is required, he specialises in procedures of both the cervical and lumbar spine, including cervical disc replacement, cervical decompression, and surgery for lumbar and cervical disc prolapse.
