About Mr Euan Dickson
Mr Euan Dickson is a Consultant Pancreatic Surgeon with extensive experience in complex pancreatic and biliary surgery. He has worked for over a decade at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he specialises in the surgical and endoscopic management of pancreatic and biliary disease. Mr Dickson graduated with an MB ChB from the University of Glasgow in 1995. He later completed an MD and achieved fellowship of both the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS). Early in his career he developed a strong interest in critical care, which led him to undertake a fellowship in Trauma and Critical Care at Johannesburg General Hospital. Following this training, he was appointed Consultant at the West of Scotland Pancreatic Unit in 2007. His subspecialist practice includes major pancreatic resections, the management of severe acute pancreatitis, and advanced pancreatico-biliary endoscopy, including ERCP and EUS. He also has a particular interest in gallstone disease and safe laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Alongside his clinical work, Mr Dickson is active in research and education. He regularly delivers invited lectures, publishes scientific papers, presents research at conferences, and has contributed chapters to medical textbooks.
