Mr David Burn is a Consultant Neurologist and Professor of Movement Disorders Neurology at Newcastle University, with over two decades of experience in the treatment and management of neurological movement disorders including Parkinson's Disease.
Since qualifying for medicine at Oxford University in 1994 and completing his training, Mr Burn has since gained international acclaim for his work on Movement Disorders within British neurology. He has undertaken much research on the cognitive aspects of Parkinson's and has accumulated evidence on the cognitive impairment that appears in the disease. Professor Burn has also been appointed National Specialty Lead for Neurodegeneration and the NIHR Clinical Research Network, as well the National Clinical Director for Parkinson's UK.
