Mr. Aravind Reddy is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with over 27 years in eye surgery, renowned for his compassionate, patient-centered approach and commitment to clinical excellence. He qualified in 1995 and completed his ophthalmology training at teaching hospitals in the UK and internationally, earning multiple professional qualifications and memberships in both UK and global ophthalmic organisations.
Since 2007, Mr. Reddy has practised in the NHS at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, delivering advanced ophthalmic care to a wide range of patients. He also serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen Medical School, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Between 2013 and 2017, he held the role of Clinical Lead for the Eye Health Network for NHS Grampian. Mr. Reddy oversaw regulations and quality standards in postgraduate ophthalmic education across the North of Scotland, serving as Training Programme Director for Surgical Ophthalmology for Scotland North from 2011 to 2015 and as Regional Advisor to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists from 2015 to 2018. He currently represents Scotland East on the Council of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Alongside his clinical and educational contributions, Mr. Reddy maintains an active interest in clinical research, having served as Principal Investigator in multiple trials that provide patients with access to innovative ophthalmic treatments.
