About
Mr Owais is known for combining technical precision with a calm, compassionate and patient focused approach. He believes in clear communication, shared decision making and providing every patient with an individualised treatment plan tailored to their lifestyle, expectations and clinical needs.
He completed his basic surgical training in Yorkshire and was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine by the University of Hull. He then undertook higher surgical training in the Severn Deanery, gaining wide experience across major centres including Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester. To further enhance his expertise, he completed a prestigious advanced fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and complex pelvic malignancy at the internationally respected John Goligher Unit at St James’ Hospital in Leeds.
Mr Owais currently practises as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in both the NHS and private sector and is also the Medical Advisory Committee Chair at Ridgeway Hospital. He is actively involved in shaping high quality clinical services and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.
