Mr Lobo completed his medical degree at the University of Goa, India in 1992, followed by his Master's degree in Ophthalmology at the same university in 1996. He later moved to the UK and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1998. In 2007 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
As a testament to his clinical expertise, he has won many awards, including being nominated for the 2011 Macular Disease Society's annual Clinical Services of the Year Award. Mr Lobo specialises in the treatment and management of several eye conditions, including: macular degeneration, diabetic neuropathy, dry eye, watering eye, cataract, floaters and blepharitis. He also has expertise in a number of procedures, including the following:
