Miss Romana Kuchai is a London-based Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon at Imperial College NHS Foundation Trust, practising at both St Mary’s Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. She has extensive experience in the management of adult and paediatric ENT conditions, with particular expertise in complex nasal and throat disorders and in the diagnosis and treatment of childhood allergies.
She qualified from Imperial College Medical School in 1996 and subsequently obtained her postgraduate surgical qualifications. She completed advanced ENT training at several leading London institutions, including St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital, The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. She also undertook primary paediatric training at the internationally recognised Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
Miss Kuchai leads the Paediatric ENT Clinic at St Mary’s Hospital, where she manages both general and complex ear, nose and throat conditions in children. She has a strong commitment to research and was awarded an MD for her work on Allergic Rhinitis. Her current research interests include inflammatory and autoimmune conditions such as Wegener’s Granulomatosis and Sarcoidosis.
In addition to her clinical and research work, Miss Kuchai is a dedicated educator. She has organised surgical training courses for over a decade and has been an invited faculty member for several national courses at the Royal College of Surgeons, reflecting her ongoing commitment to training the next generation of ENT specialists.
