Miss Natasha Choudhury is an experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with an NHS practice at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust. She is dedicated to delivering personalised, care for both adults and children, with a strong emphasis on helping patients understand their condition and feel confident in their treatment plan.
Miss Choudhury trained at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Medical Schools, London, where she also completed a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry. She has practised ENT since 2002 and completed higher surgical training across several world-renowned London centres, including Barts and The Royal London, Charing Cross, Chelsea and Westminster, Royal Brompton, and the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital.
Alongside her clinical work, Miss Choudhury has a strong academic background. She undertook two years of advanced research in Molecular Oncology at the Institute of Cancer Research, leading to the award of an MD (Res) from the University of London. She subsequently achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in both Clinical Surgery and in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
Miss Choudhury manages the full spectrum of general ENT conditions, including hearing loss, tinnitus, coblation tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and grommet insertion. However, she has particular subspecialty interests in rhinology (conditions affecting the nose and sinuses) and in thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
In rhinology, her expertise includes the medical and surgical management of rhinitis, allergy, nasal obstruction, septal deviation, nasal polyps, chronic sinus disease, nasal valve problems, septal perforation, facial pain and nosebleeds. Separately, she is also the Lead Surgeon for thyroid and parathyroid surgery at her NHS Trust; she has a high volume practice and performs around 80 thyroid and parathyroid operations each year and collaborates closely with endocrine colleagues to deliver multidisciplinary, patient-centred care.
