Miss Mala Subash
About
Miss Subash completed her ophthalmology training on the Moorfields and North Thames rotation through The London Deanery, followed by a fellowship in medical retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Her training has supported a broad clinical practice that includes complex cataract surgery and the medical management of retinal conditions.
In addition to her clinical work, Miss Subash holds recognised leadership and educational roles. She is a College Tutor accredited by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and serves as a Clinical Governance Lead, contributing to patient safety, quality improvement, and postgraduate education.
Miss Subash is also board certified in lifestyle medicine and integrates evidence-based lifestyle medicine principles into ophthalmic care. This approach addresses modifiable risk factors that may influence the development and progression of eye disease, alongside standard medical and surgical treatments.
