Dr Mich Lajeunesse is a Consultant in Paediatric Allergy based in Southampton. He was appointed in 2008. The centre was awarded World Allergy Organisation Centre of National Excellence in 2014. He currently sees NHS patients at Southampton General Hospital and sees private patients at Spire Southampton Hospital and for desensitisation at the Southampton Peanut Clinic.

He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Southampton. Recent research has included clinical trials of peanut desensitisation, studies about cows milk allergy in infants and toddlers and a rare food allergy called FPIES. He is leading the Southampton site recruitment for the NATASHA study.

Dr Lajeunesse completed his medical degree at Imperial College London in 1995 following his Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from University College Swansea in 1989. He was awarded Membership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2000 and later completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Southampton in 2004.

He is a Christian priest in the Church of England, serving his curacy locally as a self suporting minister. He works less that full time in his NHS, research and private roles. He also serves as a hospice doctor at the local children's hospice.

He has particular interest in the prevention and treatment of cow's milk protein, egg and peanut allergies, as well as multiple, severe and complex food allergies. He also has expertise in managing recurrent infections, eczema, asthma, hay fever and urticaria. He regularly performs allergy tests that provide same day results, in addition to allergy desensitisation for pollen and dust mites and uses Palforzia for peanut allergies
