Mercedes Sanchez Granel is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience supporting adults, children, adolescents and families across a range of clinical settings. She is a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and holds a Licentiate Degree in Psychology from Universidad del Salvador, completed in 2015 following five years of full-time study.
In 2020, Mercedes completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Practice in Psychoanalysis and Psychopathology at Universitat de Barcelona. Her clinical approach is strongly informed by Lacanian psychoanalysis, and she is an active member of Irish Circle of Lacanian Psychoanalysis, part of the New Lacanian School and the World Association of Psychoanalysis.
Mercedes has participated in and presented at seminars, workshops, conferences and international congresses across Europe and beyond. Her professional interests include autism, severe mental health difficulties and psychoanalytic clinical practice. She currently works with space2be, a community-based initiative guided by plural practice and Lacanian psychoanalytic principles.
