He worked as a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at York District Hospital and obtained Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Following this, he undertook advanced training in dental implants, obtaining his Diploma by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010. This qualification is generally considered the gold standard in dental implant training in the UK.
Alongside, his clinical work Dr Gormally is passionate about education and has been a Clinical Teaching Fellow in oral surgery at both Leeds and Manchester University, passing on his knowledge to undergraduate students.
