Dr. Turner has worked with various sporting organisations such as The Football Association and The England and Wales Cricket Board, and has supported numerous elite athletes across different sports, including football, rugby, cricket, and track and field. He has also provided his expertise to private and public sector organisations such as the NHS, SONY, and the RAF, to help individuals and teams thrive in the pressured world of work.
Aside from his work as a practitioner, Dr. Turner is also an award-winning researcher and teacher with a Readership at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is known for his work applying Rational Coaching within achievement settings, and studying the effects of stress and adversity on human wellbeing and performance. He applies the latest evidence from cutting-edge research to help clients pursue their goals in a meaningful but healthy manner.
Dr. Turner has also authored the book “What business can learn from sport psychology”, which highlights many of his ideas. He is a member of various professional associations, including EuroPsy, the European Federation of Psychologists’ Association, and the British Psychological Society. Dr. Turner has been recognised with several awards for his contributions to the field, including the Albert Ellis award for research in 2018 from the Albert Ellis Institute, New York.
