About Mr Mark John Price
Mr. Mark John Price is a highly experienced Consultant Podiatric Surgeon with over 25 years of expertise, having performed thousands of foot surgery procedures since his appointment in 1997. He is the Clinical Director and owner of several local Podiatric Practices across Staffordshire, where he has made significant contributions to the field of podiatric surgery. Mr. Price's career began in 1985 when he qualified as a State Registered Chiropodist and Podiatrist. He continued his studies while working at Staffordshire Health Authority, eventually earning a degree in Health Studies from The University of Central England (Birmingham) and a Master's degree in Podiatric Surgery. Recently, he completed a Professional Doctorate in Health Care at Staffordshire University, where his groundbreaking research revealed that the Plantar Fascia has a unique structure and function, actually becoming wider rather than thinner when stretched. Mr. Price is a widely published and respected lecturer, speaking both nationally and internationally on various topics in podiatric surgery. He is committed to teaching at Staffordshire University and lectures on acupuncture techniques and hypnosis. Additionally, he is a visiting lecturer in Podiatric Surgery at the University of Malta, School of Podiatry. He also regularly lectures to General Practitioners, Registrars, and Consultants on lower limb pathology and has taught Sports Biomechanics for the British Association of Sports Exercise and Medicine (BASEM). Mr. Price holds a patent for the Dynastat, a tool he invented to help measure and assess foot deformities in a weight-bearing position. His clinical interests include forefoot surgery, toe surgery, biomechanics, gait analysis, heel pain, plantar fascia pathology, bunion surgery, and various myofascial manipulation techniques. He is particularly known for his expertise in hallux valgus, neuroma, and joint replacement surgery.
