Dr Marina Neves Cavada is an Australian-Brazilian Specialist Otolaryngologist with expertise in managing a wide range of adult and paediatric ear, nose, and throat conditions. After relocating to Australia, Dr Cavada completed further ENT training at Macquarie University Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital, leading to her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. She also undertook a Clinical Research Fellowship in Rhinology at the St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research, University of New South Wales, contributing published work to the field of ENT. In addition, she completed further subspecialty training in advanced nose and sinus disorders, enhancing her expertise in both adult and paediatric sinonasal disease.
Dr Cavada practices at The ENT Centre (Hornsby) and Sydney ENT Clinic (Kogarah). She performs surgery at Chatswood Private, St George Private, Sydney Adventist Private, Macquarie University Private, and Prince of Wales Public Hospital. Alongside her clinical practice, she is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Macquarie University and is actively involved in research and teaching.
She regularly attends national and international conferences and undertakes ongoing professional development to remain current with advances in ENT. Dr Cavada holds memberships with the Australian Medical Association (AMA), the Australasian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ASOHNS), the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), the Brazilian Medical Association (CREMERS), and the Brazilian Association of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ABORL).
