About
Dr Hunjan studied medicine at the University of Birmingham before completing Dermatology Specialist Training in the West Midlands. Her path to consultancy involved more than 12 years of postgraduate training following medical school, resulting in the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Dermatology.
Following her medical degree, Dr Hunjan undertook a prestigious research fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology at the internationally renowned Mayo Clinic in the United States. She then completed further specialist dermatology training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology alongside training posts in the West Midlands. During this time, she also completed a highly specialised fellowship in Epidermolysis Bullosa at the national centres at Solihull Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, while simultaneously undertaking a Master’s degree in Research.
Dr Hunjan has received multiple academic prizes and has published and presented her work both nationally and internationally. She remains actively involved in research and is passionate about medical education, regularly mentoring and supervising medical students and junior doctors.
