About

Majella Delaney is a CORU-registered Chartered Physiotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience and a proud member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP). She holds an honours degree in Physiotherapy, a postgraduate degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy, and an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Majella specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, working across both clinic and hospital settings to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. She has a particular interest in biomechanics, including gait analysis, movement assessment, and custom foot evaluations for insoles and orthotics for both children and adults. Her treatment approach is comprehensive and tailored to each individual, incorporating techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, dry needling, medical acupuncture, spinal decompression, shockwave therapy, ultrasound, and other advanced electrotherapy methods.

As a certified Pilates instructor, Majella offers mat Pilates and Barre Pilates, along with specialised programmes designed for pre- and post-natal care, fall prevention, and core strengthening for teenagers and older adults. She also provides Women’s Health Physiotherapy, addressing pelvic floor concerns with innovative treatments including EMSELLA, and offers vestibular physiotherapy for conditions such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).

An experienced athlete herself, with a background in cross-country running, marathons and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Majella understands the physical and mental demands of sport and performance. She has worked with elite teams including the Tipperary Senior Hurling and Camogie teams and the Kilkenny Minor Hurling team, delivering pitch-side physiotherapy, rehabilitation and advanced core training. Her expertise extends to post-operative recovery and injury rehabilitation, treating conditions such as ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repairs, disc herniation and plantar fasciitis.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
