Hakkında
Dr Mahmoud Abdelhakim is a Consultant Urologist currently practicing at Al Zahra Hospital, Dubai specialising in robotic surgeries. He obtained his medical degree from Cairo University in 2001, where he later completed a PhD in Urology at Kasr Al-Ainy. His doctoral thesis focused on posterior valve regeneration to restore urinary control following laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.
Dr Abdelhakim is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) and was appointed Professor of Urology at Cairo University. He is also the Founder of the Prostacare Center, established in 2014. In addition, he is the Chairman and Founder of the Egyptian Society for Robotic Surgery (established December 2024) and serves as Head of the Laparoscopy and Robotics Section at the Egyptian Urological Association (2022–2025).
His clinical practice and academic expertise cover a wide spectrum of urological conditions, with particular focus on urologic oncology, prostate disease, robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and advanced reconstructive procedures. His specialisations include benign prostatic disease management (laser therapy, Rezūm, and bipolar techniques), malignant prostate surgery using robotic radical prostatectomy, surgical management of kidney cancer and other urological tumors, and reconstructive procedures such as renal pelvis repair and ureteral re-implantation.
