About
Before pursuing a career in dentistry, Dr. Bowora began his journey as a Therapy Radiographer specialising in Radiotherapy in 1987. He graduated as a dentist in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1994.
Dr. Bowora received specialised training in Implantology from the Hilt Tatum Institute in 2002 and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in 2003. His pursuit of excellence led him to complete the Postgraduate Residency training in Dental Implantology at the University of Lille, France, graduating in 2010. Additionally, he attended a Dental Sedation Course at the University of Newcastle in the UK.
Recognising his expertise and dedication, Dr. Bowora was made an Associate Fellow of the esteemed American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) in 2011. He is also an active member of the Alabama Implant Study Group in the USA.
Dr. Bowora's wealth of knowledge and skills have been honed under the mentorship of some of the most renowned dentists worldwide. Notable mentors include Dr. Hilt Tatum, a Dental Implant Pioneer who received the Chevalier of the French Legion of Honour in 2003 for his exceptional contributions to Dental Implantology and related Surgical Procedures, and Dr. Ralph Roberts, co-inventor of the ramus blade implant. Dr. Bowora is committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements and providing high quality patient care.
