Currently serving as a Consultant at St George's Hospital in London, Dr. Knott leads clinics focusing on general cardiology and heart failure, while also overseeing non-invasive imaging services and managing resident doctors. He is dedicated to teaching and training the next generation of cardiologists and has made significant contributions to national and international educational initiatives in cardiac imaging.
Dr. Knott completed his medical training at the University of Cambridge and University College London, graduating with distinction. He underwent extensive cardiology training in London, including subspecialty training at St George's Hospital, King's College Hospital, Bart’s Heart Centre, and Royal Brompton Hospital, where he completed a Cardiac CT fellowship. He has extensive experience in CT coronary angiography, cardiac CT for structural interventions, and CT for congenital heart disease.
Dr. Knott was awarded a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship, which led to a PhD in cardiovascular medicine from University College London. His groundbreaking research on quantitative myocardial perfusion has been published in leading journals and featured in the media. He holds Level 3 accreditation with the EACVI in Cardiac MRI and is BSCI/BSCCT accredited in Cardiac CT, further solidifying his expertise in advanced cardiac imaging.
