Kirsty is a Senior Therapist (Drama Therapist and EMDR Therapist) at the Priory Hospital Bristol, working with both the inpatient and outpatient programme. She holds an MA in Dramatherapy from Roehampton University and is HCPC registered and is trained in EMDR. She delivers group and individual therapy, with a particular specialism in working

with patients who have had traumatic experiences or complex developmental

trauma. 

  

Kirsty joined the Priory group in 2024. Prior to this, she worked with CAMHS services for

children in care and adopted children, doing five years as a Specialist Mental

Health Clinician and seven years as Team Lead. She has also offered

Dramatherapy to inpatient services for older adults, adolescents and in

community services for children and young people and adults with Learning

Disabilities.  

  

Kirsty has contributed to a feasibility study as a facilitator, in conjunction with the

Anna Freud Centre, exploring the effectiveness of a group trauma focused CBT

intervention (Teaching Recovery Techniques) with children in care.
