Mr Sean Ramcharan is a Consultant Colorectal and General surgeon, with many years of experience. Sean specialises in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery of the gallbladder, abdomen and other gastrointestinal areas. He frequently practices colonoscopy, polypectomy, open hernia surgery and open gall bladder as well as the management of various bowel diseases including irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Colitis and also cancer. He has performed over 500 laparoscopic surgeries in his time as consultant, and has is revered by his patients, reflected in their high satisfaction scores.

Mr Ramcharan qualified as a doctor in 1998, undertook his postgraduate surgical training at the West Midlands Deanery as welll as many fact paced hospitals in the UK, during which he gained a vast knowledge and expertise in treatment, diagnosis and management of a variety of general surgical disorders. Sean was also invited to Holland for further training, where he perfected advanced keyhole surgery techniques, complex trans-anal surgery and complex trans-rectal surgery. Upon his return, he was appointed Consultant in 2013 at the Nuffield Health Warackshire Hospital.He undertook further advanced laparoscopic training in Holland for complex rectal and minimally invasive trans-anal surgery. He entered the specialist register, UK, in April 2012 and worked as a consultant since 2013. Mr Ramchan is also active in the research community, and was awarded his MD from the university of Birmingham for his research on Stem Cells in Colorectal Surgery and Patient Survival Outcomes
