Joy Abi Habib is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 12 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across Lebanon, France, the UK, and the UAE. She currently practises at Aspris Wellbeing Centre City Walk in Dubai, where she offers culturally sensitive, evidence-based psychological care.
She specialises in treating a range of emotional and behavioural conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bereavement, low self-esteem, ADHD, family and relationship difficulties, and adjustment to life transitions. She also supports children facing attachment-related challenges and stress-related issues, and provides group-based therapy for emotional and behavioural concerns.
Joy draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and parental guidance.
She holds a Master of Science in Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Psychological Practice from the University of Edinburgh, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Paris Descartes University. She is certified in TF-CBT, ACT, and ADOS-2, and is licensed by the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai (License No: CDA-PL-0001785).
In addition to her clinical work, Joy has provided mental health training to NGOs, ministries, and educators through her work with Save the Children, Himaya, and UNICEF. She has lectured in Developmental Psychology at Université Saint-Joseph and led the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Diploma programme in the MENA region.
