He also supervises MD students and PhD students, and has written and co-edited the textbook ‘Biomarkers in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.'

Dr Ding has spent time as the head of research for the European Crohn's and Colitis committee and regularly speaks at conferences worldwide. He is also a committee member of the Australian IBD association and founding chair of the Young Gastroenterology Society Network in Australia.
