About
Dr. Jehan Titus is a highly skilled Urological and Laparoscopic Surgeon with extensive training and experience in prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment. He completed his medical degree at UNSW and underwent his internship and general surgical training through Sydney’s northern rotation. His urology training was with the New South Wales Training Programme, and he passed his Urology Fellowship Examination on his first attempt. Dr. Titus further honed his skills through fellowships at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and in Seattle under world-renowned prostate cancer expert, Dr. Peter Grimm, where he was introduced to MRI-guided prostate treatment, diagnosis, and rectal spacer technology.
Dr. Titus has a particular interest in laser surgery for kidney stones and prostate diseases, having led the Royal Adelaide Hospital's HoLEP service for over a decade. He has pioneered the use of computer-guided biopsies in Adelaide and is actively involved in research aimed at integrating MRI/PET fusion technology into both diagnostic and treatment practices. His work also includes functional urology, urodynamics, neurotoxin, and neuromodulation for bladder overactivity.
Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Titus was the first urologist in South Australia to perform several groundbreaking procedures, including MRI fusion biopsies, PET-MRI fusion, Rezum steam vaporisation, EVOLVE Laser photo-selective vaporisation of the prostate, Space OAR insertion to reduce radiotherapy toxicity, and non-invasive male urodynamics.
Currently, he is working on refining live implant prostate brachytherapy using MRI and PET fusion for treating prostate cancer, with the potential for investigating focal prostate therapy.
Dr. Titus is a Senior Consultant Urologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and operates at multiple locations, including Ashford, St. Andrews, and Calvary North Adelaide. He also visits Port Lincoln and Whyalla. Dr. Titus is internationally recognised for his expertise in brachytherapy and is one of the few Australians invited to contribute to the Prostate Cancer Free Foundation, a prestigious panel of prostate cancer experts worldwide.
