Dr. Javed Iqbal is an experienced General and Laparoscopic Surgeon with more than two decades of clinical practice and a record of over 25,000 successful surgical procedures. He currently practices across hospitals in Sharjah, Ajman, and Dubai, where he provides comprehensive surgical care across a broad range of specialties.
Dr. Iqbal began his medical career in India, earning his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) in 1996. He later completed his Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery at the same institution in 2001. To further advance his surgical expertise, he obtained a Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and completed a Master of Surgery degree from the University of Edinburgh, strengthening his international academic and surgical credentials. He was also awarded the Fellowship of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) in 2016.
Throughout his career, Dr. Iqbal has been actively involved in surgical education and innovation. He has served as faculty with the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, contributing to the training of surgeons and students in advanced laparoscopic techniques. His work has been recognized with the Custodian of Humanity Award for surgical excellence and the Masters in Laparoscopic Innovation award from MedGate Magazine and IGH.
Dr. Iqbal’s clinical expertise includes general and laparoscopic surgery, as well as urological, colorectal, endocrine, breast, gastrointestinal, and trauma procedures. He has also contributed to clinical research as a principal investigator in several studies evaluating emerging pharmaceutical treatments in India.
