About
Mr Smith graduated from Southampton University School of Medicine in 2003 before undertaking surgical training within the Wessex region. Alongside his training, he conducted research into the use of stem cell technology for skeletal tissue regeneration, earning a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in 2013. He subsequently completed higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr&Orth) in 2015.
In 2016, Mr Smith was selected for the prestigious BASK Fellowship in Bournemouth, followed by further fellowship training in Lower Limb Arthroplasty and Trauma Surgery in Auckland, New Zealand.
Mr Smith remains actively engaged in orthopaedic research and education. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and is a regular speaker at national and international orthopaedic meetings. His professional memberships include the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Orthopaedic Research Society, the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, the BMA, the Medical Protection Society, and the Private Practice Register.
