About Dr James Jack
Dr. James Jack is a Pain Management specialist based in Surrey, affiliated with Ashtead Hospital and Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. Dr. Jack graduated with distinction from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School, and holds a first-class honours BSc in Aerospace Physiology from King’s College London. He completed his Anaesthetic training in Surrey, Sussex, and London, including a prestigious Regional Anaesthesia Fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital, Ontario, Canada. His Pain Management training took place at prominent hospitals including St Thomas', Epsom and St Helier, and St George's in London. Passionate about education, Dr. Jack actively educates medical students, nurses, and colleagues on pain medicine. He adopts a Biopsychosocial model to deliver patient-centred care, drawing from his personal experience with chronic pain following a slipped disc in 2016, which almost led to emergency surgery. This firsthand experience enhances his empathy and understanding in managing pain and its profound impact on patients' lives.
