Mr Bhatt earned his primary medical qualification at the University of Nairobi, after which, he went on to undertake his basic training. He was then awarded the opportunity to undertake a fellowship with the University of Toronto and als the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, during which he gained knowledge and expertise in robotic cancer surgery. He was awarded several grants and prizes for his work during this fellowship.
Upon completion of his training and fellowships, he was appointed Consultant in 2013, and has since become a crucial Consultant on the West of Scotland Robotic Prostatectomy Service, where he guides the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment. He is well versed in undertaking biopsies and providing a wide range of treatment options for prostate cancer, including surgical and non-surgical treatment such as Rezum and greenlight laser surgery. Mr Bhatt has also since been appointed Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow.
