About Dr Husain Asgerally
Dr Husain Asgerally is a Consultant Paediatrician with over 12 years’ experience managing acute and chronic conditions in children from newborns to 17 years. He sees patients both in the NHS and privately at Nuffield Health and Spire Hospitals in Leicester. His clinical expertise covers a wide range of Paediatric issues, including: Abdominal pain and recurrent abdominal pain Allergic rhinitis Allergies and skin prick testing Asthma and wheezing Chest pain Coeliac disease Colic and reflux Cough Congenital heart diseases Constipation, soiling and diarrhoea Dizziness Eczema and other skin conditions Epilepsy and seizures Family history of cardiac disease and screening Fainting/Collapsing Feeding difficulties and food intolerances (e.g., cow’s milk protein allergy, GORD) Food allergies and blood testing for food allergies Fainting and dizziness Hay fever Headaches and migraines Heart murmurs Infections (e.g., urinary tract, chest, skin) Urinary incontinence Palpitations Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) In addition to general paediatric clinics, he runs dedicated specialist clinics for Paediatric Allergy (Including skin prick testing) and Paediatric Cardiology (including echocardiography). He has trained in Paediatric Allergy through the RCPCH and is a member of the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He is also trained in congenital cardiac echocardiography and plays an active role in the East Midlands Paediatric Cardiology Network. An Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, Dr Asgerally is a committed educator, supervising trainees and mentoring future doctors. He holds a Master’s degree in Improving the Quality of Healthcare and Patient Safety and serves as paediatric clinical audit lead at a tertiary children’s hospital. Fluent in multiple languages, he is known for his compassionate, clear communication and dedication to delivering safe, effective care. .
