Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Horst Steiner ist Facharzt für Frauenheilkunde und Geburtshilfe mit Schwerpunkt auf Pränataldiagnostik. Er bietet umfassende pränatale Untersuchungen, wie Ultraschall und spezielle Diagnosetechniken, an. Sein Ziel ist es, eine frühzeitige und präzise Erkennung von möglichen Risiken während der Schwangerschaft zu gewährleisten. Mit modernster Ausstattung garantiert er eine individuelle und einfühlsame Betreuung für werdende Mütter. Dr. med. Steiner promovierte 1983 zum Dr. med. univ. an der Universität Innsbruck. Seine Ausbildung zum Facharzt für Frauenheilkunde und Geburtshilfe absolvierte er an der Frauenklinik Salzburg. Er vertiefte seine Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Urologie und Allgemeinchirurgie sowie Neonatologie. 1992 erlangte er die Facharztanerkennung. Es folgten Studienaufenthalte bei Prof. C.P. Weiner in Iowa, USA, und bei Prof. Karel Marsal in Malmö, Schweden. 1996 habilitierte er an der Medizinischen Universität Wien mit dem Thema "Dopplersonographisches Monitoring in der Maternofetalen Medizin". Dr. med. Steiner ist Träger des DEGUM / OEGUM Stufe III Zertifikats (1998) und gerichtlich beeideter Sachverständiger für Frauenheilkunde und Geburtshilfe. Er ist Autor und Koautor zahlreicher Publikationen und hält regelmäßig Ausbildungskurse für Dopplersonographie und Ultraschalldiagnostik. Darüber hinaus ist er Mitglied und Vorstandsmitglied österreichischer und deutscher Fachgesellschaften für Pränatalmedizin und Ultraschall.
