During that period of research, he was awarded the prestigious Young Investigator for Clinical Research by the European Society of Cardiology, Heart Failure Association for his work on sleep-disordered breathing in patients with heart failure. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and the European Society of Cardiology.
