About Mr Henry Savage
Mr Savage is a Consultant Cardiologist and an expert in General Cardiology, heart failure, and the Implantation of Complex Cardiac Rhythm Devices. He is also involved in the prevention and treatment of cardiac disease and regularly delivers education in primary and secondary care in these areas.
He performs procedures such as coronary angiography, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and echocardiography. Mr Savage's research interests lie in the prediction of decompensation of heart failure utilising novel biomarkers and implanted cardiac devices. He is the principal investigator for a number of heart failure trials and has peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals.
Mr Savage received a Doctorate in Medicine, MD (Res) from Imperial College London in 2014. During that period of research, he was awarded the prestigious Young Investigator for Clinical Research by the European Society of Cardiology, Heart Failure Association for his work on sleep-disordered breathing in patients with heart failure. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and the European Society of Cardiology.
