Dr. Haitham Talo is a highly experienced American Board-Certified Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with over 26 years of practice in the field. His extensive expertise and experience have been developed through working in various renowned hospitals in the UAE, including his current position at Valiant Clinic and Hospital. Dr. Talo was a Consultant at the Division of Paediatric Cardiology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi from 2006 until 2018, where he also held the position of Head of the Paediatric Cardiology Department since 2012.
Dr. Talo obtained his M.D. degree from Damascus University School of Medicine in 1988. He later completed his Paediatric Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1993, followed by his Paediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1996. Dr. Talo has also practised as a Paediatric Cardiology Senior Consultant in Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospital, Jackson Michigan, and at Al Bassel Heart Institute in Damascus, Syria.
Dr. Talo is a Fellow of the American Academy of Paediatrics and the American College of Cardiology, and is an Adjunct Staff of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU).
Dr. Talo's primary areas of expertise are clinical cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging, especially echocardiography. He is experienced in assessing and managing paediatric cardiology patients of all ages, including those with simple or complex congenital heart lesions. Dr. Talo also specialises in pre and post-operative care and non-invasive assessment and management of paediatric cardiac rhythm abnormalities.
